Cherries in the boat with cherries and plums in the palate. The flavor is enhanced with both BBQ chips and white cheddar cheese. More fruitiness brought out with the cheddar. — 4 months ago
Elegant floral bouquet reminiscent of a good Gevrey-Chambertin … maybe even a little too flowery.
On second thought .. nah, just right.

Surprise. Wilson Mabel paella dinner and didn’t realize this was CA Alberino! Nose of white flowers laced with minerals lemons. Firm acidic palate with biting finish. 580 cases total! Brand and Family produced it. — a month ago
The 2022 Pinot Noir Aeolian is darkly floral, as a mix of dried violets, lavender and incense forms an enticing bouquet. This is soothingly round and supple, showing a lick of salty minerality up front that perfectly offsets its ripe wild berry fruits. The 2022 leaves the palate stained in primary concentration, with a bitter blackberry tinge and edgy tannins that make for a lovely punctuation to the experience. The Aeolian hails from vines planted in 2001 at 700 feet in the higher elevations of Bethel Heights. (Eric Guido, Vinous, August 2024)

I have previously rated this, but this is a different vintage so I’m rating it again. I consumed this in July 2024. 70% Monterey County, 19% Santa Barbara County, 11% Sonoma County. I think this is in the $25 range. Went really well with steak. — a month ago
