Bought in Madrid from owner of a small wine shop who recommended this among all his contact wines. So good -- Tang, tea, and tannin in a high-acid package. Too bad I'll never be able to get any more. — 7 years ago
Perfect daily wine - house wine of The Jane — 9 years ago
Bright mid Gold. Aromas indicate wood maturity and white flowers- some pineapple, oxidative notes and grilled nuts. Creamy palate with peach and skins bitterness. The oxidative nature of this wine makes it special but treads a fine line with this approach- no further cellaring required. The amazing thing about this Vineyard in Rueda (only 23 acres) is that many of the vines are still on their own rootstocks and predate phylloxera. Some vines are up to 180 years old. Drink now / low acid - quite delicious. One of the 1001 Wines. — 7 years ago
Beautiful Vedejo; soft butter (maybe to young) melon and freshly baked cake — 10 years ago
Atypical oak-aged Verdejo from very old, organically-farmed vines in Nieva. Expressive nose. Citrus (lemon zest), tropical notes, marzipan, beeswax. Medium-bodied. Round, creamy. Lemon flavors. Zesty acidity — 4 years ago
