This 7 year old Napa Cabernet is already drinking beautifully. Smooth and elegant. Spicy and entertaining. Rich, complex and extracted.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Has great potential to become a 96 point wine.
This Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is nicely balanced, soft and engaging.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, and will also pair nicely with barbecue meats.
Grapes were aged in (85% new) French Oak barrels for 23 months.
On the nose, ripe blueberry, very late season black currant, cocoa, loamy/mineral soil, just a touch of oak and alcohol. On the palate, no tannins for sure, graceful plum with light acidity and dark chocolate. Way better than the last bottle, bottle variation working in our favorite tonight perchance? My guess is this bottle is closer to peak, we have some left and will experiment on a few year delay on the remainders. — 8 years ago
