Popped and poured. The 2015 Lessona from Proprieta Sperino is absolutely singing right now; pretty much right out of the gate. The solar nature of the vintage is on full display but the elegance of Lessona is still there. Bright garnet color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears and no signs of sediment. On the nose, bright, ripe red fruits: cherries, strawberries and raspberries with red flowers, dried herbs and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with silky medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. Lovely texture! The finish is long and delicious. Drinking well now and should do so for at least another 7+ years. — 5 months ago
