Ok it’s not the greatest year, but this wine is very nice. A real classic Margaux with stil some dark forest fruit, some pencil and a box filled with vanilla stuffed Havana’s. Not a full bodied wine but a real charmer. — 4 years ago

A real winner. Tried 3 bottles, all were consistently great! Located in the western end of Dopp Road where the Chehalem Mountains converge with Ribbon Ridge, medium Ruby with aromas of red fruits and enticing spice. On the palate ripe raspberry and wild cherry with pepper, baking spice and earthy notes. Young with integrated tannins, well defined, elegant with underlying richness, long finish ending with flinty notes. Nice value! Tried several bottles, now starting to develop more complex spice. — 4 years ago

Very nice magnum, slightly toasted and nutty notes but barely, rich and full palate, still good enough acidity, some salinity as well, nice balance, gorgeous. This domaine did real well with the 205’s.

One of my favorite small production wine, 300 cases. Cal Nicholson spent his youth in So. CA & after a long marketing career he hung up his spurs to follow his 2 real interests in life – surfing & wine making. Jones is the maiden name of Cal’s wife Pam. A wonderful wine. Aromas of lemon citrus with herb, stone & tropical fruits. Palate, peach, Granny Smith apple & ripe melon flavors with lively citrus zest wrapped in lbalanced acidity. Lingering finish ending with mineral citrus finish. Consistent! Nice! — 5 years ago
