Note the mis-spelling of REULING on the label. — 5 years ago
Interesting contrast with the Reuling. This one has more dark notes to it - more depth in one sense, but doesn't have quite the complexity to keep up with it - but is defintely a terrific wine that likely has more development left to it than than the Reuling. Absolutely correct to have this after the Reuling, though, because it's a much darker wine. Still excellent, just not quite as good as the Reuling. — 7 years ago
This one was opened alongside a 2006 Aubert Reuling, and in all honesty this one was thicker, deeper, and more 'youthful' although this one really was showing some secondary notes too. The nose of this wine showed dirty raspberry, clove, and entered with a much more 'full bodied' expression. Hawthorne and lily. The middle of this wine seemed as though it wanted to go darker, but never did. I think that the best drinking time for this wine was likely 2016-17, although there is likely to be a bit of bottle variation at this point. — 7 years ago
