One of the best Zins we’ve had in a long time! — 2 years ago
Wine dinner with big group including Butch neighbor Art, Philip and Bewan. App filled in the mostly missing label! Different profile than the Krug ‘74, leaner and firmer with a more straightforward profile that’s not quite as multi dimensional but still an amazing 50 year old! Old price label of $8.29 still on bottle. — 5 months ago
Deep ruby coloration. No translucency. In the nose, cherry, blackberry, oak and vanilla. On the palate, black cherry, blueberry, cassis, pepper, graphite, chocolate and vanilla. Jammy delicious fruit. Lush mouthfeel. Robust and smooth. Tannins still strong and active but balanced and not overpowering. Medium to longer finish. — 7 months ago
Viansa ‘Samuele’ 2005: Medium-Full bodied. Excellent balance & finesse. Well integrated acidity & tannins. Blackberry. Black currant. Plum. Vanilla. Oak. Long smooth finish. An excellent & robust Sonoma County Cab Franc blend that is still bright after 17 years. Glad I was able to unbottle & share this beauty. Great day to all! Cheers🍷 — 2 years ago
