Super acidic but balanced and bright. Pairing well with street corn and Caesar salad. — 5 years ago
This time it is the real Patria Avoyelles...Thanks Paul T for pointing out my gaffe between the Patria Oakville Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon and this amazing blend of 56% Cabernet Franc, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% PetitVerdot! Not that the Cab was any slacker, but the Avoyelles is a noticeable jump in depth and feel across the tongue. Tony Biagi is killing it! — 8 years ago

Pop and poured. Very pretty and elegant. Not a blockbuster vintage, but not a slacker in StEm. This Clos Fourtet isn’t flamboyant nor lean, but quite balanced. Deep ruby + purple in the glass, it looks as though it will be heavy and powerful, but it sports lots of potpurri, espresso, and inky black fruits aromatically all wrapped a delicate profile. Good weight on the palate. Very clean (zero Brett). This may lean slightly modern, but the tannin and herbal bite at the finish snap you back to France. Not surprisingly, the last glass was best. No rush here, but a quick dash of air opens the gates. — 5 months ago

Very fruity and approachable, very ripe. Fruit driven. Body driven more by alcohol and tannin than acid. A very drinkable and delicious wine — 8 years ago
2018 vintage. Settling down a little bit since last visit 10.24.21. Medium/medium-heavy body. Starts off Napa, finishes Right bank. Velveteen and hazelnut nose. Slacker tannic presence. Still fairly flashy yet substantial-esp for the price. Tremendous value and drinking slightly better than nearly seven months ago. — 3 years ago
Delicious. Sums up our fabulous Saturday of movies, wine and Uber Eats. 😂 — 5 years ago

Love it when older bottles don’t disappoint. Not the 64 Monfortino, for sure, but not a slacker. — 4 months ago
