Smell is soy/hoisin, sorrel, tarragon, ok its kind of like tuna sushimi - I’m loving the smell, blood red and dark, the taste feels salty and sweet at first, with some prunes but raspberry, leather, burlap, bourbon-y, syrupy but the ending is like meaty warm raspberry with and acidic and very tannic finish that’s balanced — 5 years ago
well one brilliant taste but a little to alcoholic and quiet pricy. from the north of Argentina, Humahuaca, Jujuy Province, where the Indians live :). Nice wine they make there. — 25 days ago

Mooi rood, met een beetje fantasie iets bruinigs. Geur van kersen, maar niet overheersend. Mooie brede smaak, natuurlijk rood fruit, maar ook mooie zuren en nog wat tannines. Geen ‘over the top’ amarone. Prima op dronk, wellicht betert de wijn nog ietsje de komende 3 jaar. — 2 years ago

Super interesting. Pigato is Vermentinos reclusive brother from Liguria. More dense mouth feel but not lacking minerality or balance. A 2016 Kermit Lunch selection has no funk just a really good white with hints of peach and salinity. Paired well with our oysters. Glad I dug this out and finally tried it. Looking forward to the next one in a year to see if he’s still holding up. — a month ago
