Never heard of this region, but it was DOCG and $12 so I gave it a shot, and it really delivered! This is the kind of wine you find in Italy as Vino di Tavolo and it is just delicious: very dark & inky, boysenberry and blackberry, brooding, sweet earth, dried herbs, great acidity and balance — dare I say some polish through impressive juicy finish. — 2 years ago
Straight juice. Loved the texture and body this wine. A little clay, cherry, cranberry, and red currant with a crunchy texture. — 8 years ago

Quite thin. Did not hold up to spicy food. Slight notes of slate and citrus. — 3 years ago
