70% Merlot, 20% Cab Franc, 10% Petit Verdot - black pepper, cinnamon, vanilla, blackberries & cherries. — 8 years ago
A nice CS/Sangiovese blend from around Pisa.
Very interesting how this evolves in the glass with the character of the two grapes coming out to shine and fading - sometimes this is very much reminiscent of a northern Medoc with gravelly black currants, a few minutes later the hallmark tomato leaf + some rusticity of Sangiovese emerges.
On the palate this is quite firm with a proper tannic frame filled with black cherry & black currant and juicy acidity.
Good depth & length and surprisingly youthful. — 2 years ago
Incredibly enjoyable. Tastes like the first date of a girl you thought was out of your league. Every time you dive in you find yourself happy and holding your breath because the experience is that good. This one kisses on the first date and you can tell about it. — 6 years ago
Above average Tuscan red with Sangiovese and Merlot. Lovely nose. Flavorful with a nice finish. Great with any type of Italian food. Drank in February 2023 — 2 years ago

I don't get the low ratings. '11 drinks well with cherry, rose water, tobacco & lil sangiovese funk on the finish. — 8 years ago

Gorgeous red fruit and roses, violet, and the slightest hint of balsamic. Light on the palate with sandy medium-plus tannins, you get the florals, then acidic lemon and tomato paste (high quality) kick through, finishing with (again) a touch of balsamic. It has the heart of a dancer with the mind of a long-distance runner. — a month ago
