Versus Marche Bianco Incrocio Bruni 54

Lighter than verdicchio, this is a cross of verdicchio and Sauvignon blanc from 1936. More sav b than verdicchio. Some apple and lime, still has a bit of bitterness at the end. Crisp, nice acidity, enjoyed with a cod dish. — 7 months ago

@Angelo Casagrande Did you serve this with the “cod in a cider +cream sauce”, with mushrooms ? That’s room clearing good!

No. If I’m not heading out for Guinness on a Dublin bus, I won’t eat that recipe.

Crisp, clean and minerally, meaning fruit was not the key factor here. Refreshing white, nice aperitif — 8 years ago

Incrocio Bruni 54 Marche Bianco 2013

Vintage 2018 / Thanks! winefriend @Jaap Cuijpers knows that I like very curious grapes and he introduced me to Incrocio Bruni 54. There are only 32 acres vineyard with this grape, a crossing from sauvignon and verdicchio bianco. The wine is from the Marche region. It went excellent with a piperade of vegetables and baked flounder (Fr: limande Nl: schar) and a selection of goats cheese. — 6 years ago
