Medium to full bodied and well made in a good vintage from vines planted in 1885 from the Ebenezer sub district of Barossa Valley. Drinking my Barossa Reds in what passes for Winter in Australia this year. Difficult to drink these big Reds in a Queensland summer. I am dreading summer later in the year. Rich ripe and predictable - But it is pretty delicious. I feel Sami-ODI gets more complexity and interest into their Reds than most. — 7 years ago
High value German Pinot. Nice acidity, pairs well with food. — 9 years ago
Phenomenal value; mouthwatering acidity, massive green and tropical fruit flavor, a ton of body from the touch of residual sugar. Great winter wine. — 3 years ago
A wonderful full flavoured wine. It’s complexity is such that it has aromas of a fruity Sauvignon Blanc and after a sip the finish of a smooth Chardonnay. It would go with any food or just on its own. Brilliant. — 4 years ago
In Berlin summer (which is really more like prolonged NE spring or winter in Los Angeles) I personally like drinking chilled reds. But when only a Riesling will do, Peter Lauer is FAß.This wine is über mineral but the fruit is sweet and balanced. 100% trocken. Oh, and @Delectable Wine @Julia Weinberg the ads on this thing *really* fucking suck. FWIW It's awful to be backed into a corner to spend money, and it rarely works either. — 7 years ago
Delectable this is the 8 Songs Barossa Shiraz - not offered in your choices. Nose of ripe plums and earth, developing pruney notes. On the palate all the characteristics that make Barossa Shiraz loveable for winter - full bodied red and black fruits, oak not dominating (in this case). Medium minus intensity and tannins - the latter slightly grainy. Overall a well made Barossa Shiraz from an excellent vintage made by Peter Lehmann, known in some circles as the “Godfather of the Barossa “. RIP Peter Lehmann. — 4 years ago
Stunningly beautiful wine, intensely perfumed with notes of winter hay, beeswax, irises, key lime, and yellow apples. Honeyed, but not sweet with a mineral core and clean slate finish that goes on for days! Perfect ex-cellar bottle, need to buy more ASAP =) — 5 years ago
Cherry flavor is strong enough for me to notice, and oaky. A good winter drinking wine. Sean enjoyed it a bit more than I did — 9 years ago
Love this drink in the winter — 10 years ago

Concentrated Barossa Shiraz from a warm vintage. Ripe black fruits and dark chocolate on a full bodied palate. A little astringency from the tannins. Another rich Barossa Shiraz perfect for a cold winter. Second of 4 but I can’t see it changing much down the track. — 2 years ago
