Young. I’ve said it many times; Hatton Daniels wines are made to age and this Cabernet is at the far end of the hold spectrum. While I loved drinking this there is so much potential that is overtaken by the density and freshness packed into this. 20-30-40 years just forget about this bottle. While it is great and definitely not hard by any means this will only become glorious over time. — 4 years ago

Hints of dark berries with a slight earthy tone. Drank for Matt’s 30th with Waygu ribeye and Parmesan risotto. — 4 years ago
Nice sweet red. — 5 years ago
Third bottle! Still surprising and good. Quite good but not overwhelmingly so for Mabel’s Hainan chicken with flavored rice. — 2 years ago

Pale yellow, excellent clarity. Tactile, fine grain sandpaper like, so perhaps an acquired case for some. A clean nose, lemon and lemon peel flavors with depth, great acidity. A deep dive into the variety; not for the faint of heart. After 90 minutes the skin tannins do mellow so you might decant this. — 9 months ago
