Decanted for about 2 hours. Broken cork that seemed dried out and I couldn’t get out of the bottle. Filtered the wine into the decanter.
Wine had the classic Valdicava aromas that are unique and alluring. Almost like a Sangiovese / Cabernet blend and mix of dark fruit, cocoa. I can’t describe as much as I can always recognize it.
Wine was very good. Not the best expression of this wine but solid.

Nice wine. Had some citrus zest to it. Balance was good. Not much oak. Paired well with richer foods — 12 days ago
Wow. Just wow
It starts off kinda like a deep and dark Rhône wine with a sweetness and kirsch like flavor but then in the palate it just explodes about 4-5 second later and there is a whole different level of expression.
Wine was best at about 1.5-2 hour decant and actually better without food. — 6 days ago
Gorgeous.
Solid bubbles that quickly give way to toasted brioche flavors and nice rich flavor.
You can taste a bit of the dosage and sweetness at the end but it’s not overwhelming.
Really smooth and great way to start dinner — 6 days ago
Exactly what I was looking for to pair with shrimp and zucchini. Good acidity. Good weight. A bit of vanilla but not much. — 12 days ago
This wine was excellent. Opened up quickly in the glass and was quite smooth. — 6 days ago

Delicious. This had a lot of fruit while still maintaining depth and a bit of complexity.
Tannins were present but not too strong.
Overall very smooth — 3 days ago
