Pop and pour. Lovely. Like Nerello mascalese tinged sangio: smoky, seemingly volcanic, blood orange, tar, a touch of funk. On the palate: lovely acidity, elegant and lighter weight, darker on the back palate with soft chalky tannin. Yum. — 7 days ago
Pop and pour. On the nose: rustically styled and maybe closer stylistically to Cornas than Cote Rotie. Gamey syrah, black fruit, bramble, seemingly no viognier? Nice acidity, solid density, earth, dried blackberry, bramble, attenuated tannin.
