Had this wine many years ago and it overpowered me. Not this time around, the '09 was superb! Fully integrated flavors and drinking super smooth! 2009 was indeed a great year for this garnache. — 6 years ago

This was our NYE wine. Bryant Family was the first really great wine I ever had many years ago (a 1995 if I recall). This bottle brought me right back to that experience. I love the flavors of this wine. A bit woodsy with some cassis and a little black truffle mixed in. Perfectly balanced. The 2010's are ready to drink now 🍷😊 — 7 years ago

This has a lot of dill up front for me. Fruit comes through after about 45 mns. For me this wine is not as good as it's reputation. But glad to have tried it. — 8 years ago

It's a good point @TheSkip, but it is also a bet on the labor market 10 years from now that vintners have to consider in their planting today. Long term planning is an understatement!

@Janet Ross, maybe @Matt Duncan can help us with regards to the dill notes. I could be wrong, but dill is typically a note derived from US oak barrels...

We could spend a great deal of time on barrels @Ron R @Janet Ross! Dill/coconut are typically associated with less toasted, less seasoned American oak barrels. Our toast has always been Medium (or slightly less). In 2015 we started a 10 year cooper trial at our cooperage (The Oak) to research these regiments in greater detail. With time the American oak flavors resolve in the bottle and reveal their greatest quality: softer tannins that meet more tannic CA Cabernet for decades of bottle aging.

100% Cabernet from M. Harold from Calistoga. I loved this wine! It has a slight raspberry tint on the nose but opens up quickly to reveal sensuous dark fruits; cassis, blackberry, and boysenberry. Totally ssmooth and drinkable now. — 8 years ago

My first Bevan Pinot and I'm loving this winery even more now. Great Pinot, full round flavors of cranberry, black cherry, and raspberry flow through this wine with a nice long finish. A++ 👍🍷 — 8 years ago

This is my Hurricane Harvey wine. After being housebound by flooding for 6 days I decided to open this gem from Morlet which shows all the classic Knight's Valley character I love. It is a treasure of cassis, black currants, incense and sandalwood, tar and menthol. Black pepper and spice box. The palate is a layered as is the nose, with a succulentdark fruit core framed with understated, fine,, mouthcoating tannins. 15.0% alcohol — 8 years ago

(2nd bottle) This wine was MUCH BETTER than the Silver Oak! Great Cabernet from HM. Beautiful nose, gorgeous dark fruit on the pallet. Have my happy wine face back 😊🍷 — 8 years ago
