2006 CdP showed really well with Christmas dinner. Nicely aged and showing good complexity.
The nose showed aromas of raspberry, blackberry, coffee, tobacco, leather, dried herbs de Provence, and Christmas spice.
The palate was well structured, with nice weight and well integrated tannin that led to a long finish.
Paired nicely with our prime rib roast. — 3 years ago
Lemon, lime, underripe apple, underripe pear. Not too rich, not overly oaked. Great balance and finish. Low ABV (13.5%) a nice change of pace for this region. At $70 CDN, it is expensive but an excellent choice for special occasion like Christmas dinner which it matched nicely with. — 3 years ago
An aged beauty. First sips intriguing. Then it went dead for half hour to 45 minutes - then delicate and A perfumed nose- dried roses and raspberry - colour tending to brownish red - as expected. Still modest tannins and a long finish Elegant - a treat to drink. — 3 years ago
One of my favorite producers. This one is a little young (the ‘98 is my favorite so far) but after 2 hours of air it was pretty smooth. It had a little bit of pepper, or wild purple flavor, but I’m not sure if was the syrah (sort of like K vintners?) or the more dominant grenache. A great Christmas wine. — 3 years ago

Tight and young. Lots of promise, but not giving much at the moment. Very mineral and stony. — 3 years ago
