Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

Very nice nose of blackberry, strawberry, cedar, tobacco. Bright ruby colored. Add in some plum. Nice mouthfeel, bit chalky but nice. Entering a good drinking window. — 2 years ago

San Fereolo

Dolcetto di Dogliani 2013

Of the earth, a beautiful fresh herb character (rosemary and sage), wild cherry (small, good acid), accurate on the palate. Immense power, beautifully held. Great freshness and purity. Rose petal potpourri. Excellent. — 2 years ago

Marqués de Murrieta

Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2011

The ‘11 Ygay is drinking like a classic. It’s a big, oaky blend that’s deep ruby in color with scents of graphite and cocoa. Deep dark flavors with firm tannins and a hint of vanilla. Still has lots of legs. — 2 years ago

Thanks @Sharon B it’s not — it’s probably from the well water days 😆

Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 1981

Dark rubi robe with a hint of brick color on the rim, nose of crushed flowers, cigar box, tobacco and blackcurrant, medium bodied, complex, elegant, fresh and balanced, ready to drink but will for sure last a fee decades more. Great bottle and we are happy we bought others :) — 2 years ago

Moccagatta

Bric Balin Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2017

Steely tannins! Will need more bottle age or very long aeration. Although I’m not sure if the tannic structure will ever disappear. Barbaresco from the difficult 2017 vintage… — 2 years ago

Birthday wine. It’s got the juice. I can’t imagine a more beautiful thing… I can tell you all about it. I mean look at this thing? When I tried it with steak everything changed. — 2 years ago
