Brisk and spicy. Feels like I want to drink it with cranberry sauce and things made with sage. But also has a fresh current. Under the currant. Friend you generally party with who secretly hikes every morning and you’re like but...how? Answers found in the glass. — 5 years ago
I went to Walgreens looking like this and some dude like half my age stopped me to say I was adorable he liked my style and could he Snapchat me—-oh wait wine. I’m talking about wine. I needed to un-discombobulate from the Walgreens incident with a predictably lovely rosé which Clos de Joncuas provided. It has limeyness as in limes (muddled with raspberries) and limestones. And it is mineral galore but if it were a living room this wine would have a crown molding of roses and river nymphs. I surmise that only makes sense to me but apparently I’m still bobulated. Oh and I told the dude I wasn’t on Snapchat which was the truth. Does this come-on mean I could still play twenties in Hollywood? — 5 years ago
This is rather fabulous. Minerals. Pink grapefruit. Very refreshing and zippy. It makes me feel like I shattered a geode in my mouth but like in a good way. Actually that sounds terrible just know this is all the dignified sparkle you could hope for. — 5 years ago
The Anderson Valley may be my latest favorite region. This 100 percent pinot is pretty in pink but for all the lifting acid it manages to mysteriously feel fleshy. But is so light and silky and peachy-raspberry-whiteflower beautiful I wish I could wear it to bed. — 5 years ago
Somehow I hoped this would unknit how sewn into Beaujolais I am. Nope. I’m knotted up with these wines as ever and damn I’m claustrophobic but these s-wine-ters (aka wine sweaters can we make this a thing) have room to breath. All of which to say is this has a happy friendliness of a buddy you spend every weekend with. It is complex (fruits! acid! honeysuckle blossomfun!) and has a sense of dry wit (acid cutting, bone dry stone, sullen but no it’s just serious texture) to cut through anyone’s pretense. But it feels welcoming and warm. And full. And will let you lay your head on its bosom OR maybe it is just a sophisticated warm knit to keep that bosom both warm and savvy. All the same it has acid, ripe fruit and warming fruit to make it a winter-tastic cold rosé I’ll keep trying every year — 5 years ago

Last I reviewed Trinquevedel I think I recommended marrying it. And...yeah I’d miss the promiscuous supple rosados, the devious Bandols, and geez, I may ask Trinq if we could watch Txakolina porn together from time to time but this is my favorite rosé. That I’d marry. It has this depth that hugs you but at the same time leavens you like the happy loaf you (me? I’ve been eating a lot this season) you are.
From the first look at that coral pink to the long seductive I’ve-got-more-to-tell-you-if-you-let-me-open-up finish, this wine is a keeper. — 5 years ago
