The king of #QPR Picked up this Mourvèdre after reading about similar wines and it lived up to the hype. Untamed spice and heat with notes of citrus, plum, and currant. Even a hint of scorched earth. Despite its huge flavors, each sip was complemented with delicate tannins. This wine is as dark as they come. #qprsuperstar — 10 years ago
Wanting to taste something similar to a Condrieu and Chateau Grillet without the expense I opted for an Australian Viognier. This wine explodes with honeysuckle, honeydew, litchis, peach, and an aroma of orange peel and gardenias. The texture is like cool whip. This wine was able to retain enough acid to be balanced. Although low in acidity this wine was thirst quenching enough for a successful pool day. #hurrayforviognier #qprsuperstar — 10 years ago
Really underrated Etna Rosso - 12 months in steel, 36 in oak, another 12 in steel - lends an awesome flavor profile. #qprsuperstar #etnaonfire — 10 years ago
Now this one, this one has something to say, and baby, I'm listening. The subtle nose of rich cherry and untamed spice is released, amplified upon the palette. This wine only gets better as it breathes. Blindly leaving behind my affinity for the IGT, my early forays into the DOC have proven rewarding. @Kyle Harvey i don't use this as often as @Scott Petrus but this is a true #qprsuperstar — 10 years ago
Easily top 10 best inexpensive wines I've ever had. The wine has a nice weight on the tongue and is really loaded with fruit flavors including blackberry and ripe plum. Nice subtle tannic finish. The wine lacks depth and complexity but for under $10, the value is considerable. #qprsuperstar — 10 years ago
This wine takes me back to a rainy night spent on Castle hill in Budapest. After driving 500 km through a wintery mix I checked in to my hotel in Buda overlooking the Danube, Parliament, St Stephens, Chain Bridge, and the Citadella. After a quick visit to fisherman's bastion I felt the beginning of hunger pangs. Walking through sleet that felt more like the cuts from a single blade razor I ducked into a little bistro. The atmosphere was resplendent. This Hun hut served the best dim sum tuna burger accompanied with a bottle of bulls blood. This wine is balanced with bramble berry and cigar box flavors. The full body and silky tannins make this great under eight wine a #qprsuperstar Pairs best with a dip in natural hot springs at the Gellart bath house. *Full disclosure this wine may have been harvested during a rain storm as the flavors are a tad dilute. PS can't wait to try Tokaj. — 10 years ago
Planeta does it again, nice citrus and melon profile, with bright acidity, and some time in barrique that gives it a memorable complexity. Great value. #qpretna #qprsuperstar — 10 years ago
#qprsuperstar A veritable Tuscan treasure with a complex palette of ripe black cherry and licorice. The tannins are smooth and elegant but they let you know they're present in spades. This is currently the house wine. — 10 years ago
Just a nice dry rosé on a warm, southern spring evening. #ATL #qprsuperstar this one is dry, smooth, and super easy to get into. — 10 years ago
Inky and seductive cab from an outstanding sub appellation of the Columbia Valley. Forward flavors of red berries with earthy undertones balanced by silky elegant tannins. Massive value buy from a nice vintage for region. #qprsuperstar — 10 years ago
Picked this one up at TJs today. Naturally, I was initially very skeptical but after allowing this Nero time to breathe, what was a one trick pony actually turned out to be quite an enjoyable wine. Full of soft tannins, this wine is incredibly spicy with a nice jammy finish. The new #qprsuperstar on the block. At this price point, I expect a few more of these to be gracing my wine racks in the near future. — 10 years ago
I had to remove this gem from my wine fridge to make room for some new additions. This wine was a pleasant surprise. It had great black cherry, herb, boysenberry, beet and plum on the tongue. I also got some coffee and cigar box notes followed by waves of acidity. This wine is a #qprsuperstar @Ted Corvey a must buy. — 10 years ago
An IGP, and one of the best ones that I've ever had. Strong but subtle fruit with a pleasant spicy finish. #qprsuperstar @Kyle Harvey — 10 years ago
Everything you want in nibbiolo without the price tag. Earth and spice w strong tannins. #qprsuperstar #theking #thepeopleschamp — 10 years ago
Nice cassis, coffee, and ripe pomegranate give this wine nice balance. The new oak leads to a longer finish than most wines at this price point. The spice is nice for the price. #qprsuperstar — 10 years ago

Crisp, clean, cheap, fantastic party wine. Summer is coming, stock up. #qprsuperstar — 10 years ago

I'm not entirely sure why others haven't rated this wine quite as highly as I have here--a blend of merlot, cab sauv, and cab franc--notes of the clay-limestone terroir are apparent in this wine, along with strong fruit and acidity followed by supple tannins. While this one doesn't meet the 2009 Bordeauxs, it really doesn't fall that short. At $16-17 a bottle, a real #qprsuperstar and one I'll definitely go buy up. It'll only get better over the next 2 years. — 9 years ago
