Galangal, lemongrass, lime leaf, fresh coconut. Searing acidity, offset by fine concentration and a haunting, complex finish. Trace of trapped CO2 blows off quickly. Textbook Trocken. #keller #rheinheissen #riesling — 8 years ago
a singularly unique Riesling from an organic, VDP producer. wasn't able to find vinification details, but i'm almost certain this is open barrel fermented and raised in used oak. it's quite luscious, but with that inimitable tartaric cut that Riesling does like no other. dripping with marzipan, butter, and crushed peaches. #drinkmoreriesling #rheinheissen #germany #riesling — 9 years ago
Ferocious. Blazing acidity, richness and the dry extract for which Keller Rieslings are famous. The lime leaf, lemongrass and galangal elements are secondary to a palpable salinity. For me, possibly the most complete Keller Trocken since the 2010. Extraordinary. #keller #riesling #rheinheissen — 6 years ago
More open than the 2015. Rich, long, typical laser acidity. Cornflower and wet stones. Big hit of Abtserde in this, I believe. #rheinheissen #keller #riesling — 7 years ago
Deep red soil quality. Rich, almost oily. Huge acidity. Finish just a bit coarse & earthy. Young vines? An estate that's on the up, nonetheless. #rheinheissen #riesling — 8 years ago
Sweet. Buzzing acidity. Fine salinity on the impressive, ripe finish. All pineapple, green mango flavors. Needs years, but it will all be drunk within weeks. #keller #rheinheissen #riesling — 6 years ago
Lighter on its feet than the 2015, but fresh, chiseled, zippy and saline. Big hit of trapped CO2. Exquisite, balanced and poised for a good 5-7 year sleep. #keller #rheinheissen #pinotblanc #chardonnay — 7 years ago
A high-acid, low alcohol, slightly sweet miracle you only see in years like '15. Kirchspiel, 18g rs. Zippy, fresh, fine! #keller #riesling #rheinheissen — 8 years ago

#mullerthurgau and #riesling blend from #rheinheissen ; slight minerality, pear and apple notes, honeyed notes; juicy acidity fleshes out into sweet apple, syrupy peach. Delicious semi-sweet wine for spicy South Indian lentil crepes and dal stew (Dosa + Sambar.) Excellent QPR for $6.50 at Total Wine. — 4 years ago
