Vigneron Didier Barral teams up with cows, horses, and pigs to biodynamically farm all of his vineyards. A leading comrade in the French vin nature movement, all of the grapes are picked by hand, fermented with native yeasts, unracked, unfined, unfiltered, and receive no SO2 additions. His wines have a certain wildness, but are still delicious and true to both varietal and region. Carignan dominates this blend contributing its dark fruit, forestal and bewitching feral stride.

Drinking much better the second day Gamey Sauvage with kirsch, violets, roses, and grilling meat. Helluva value for Cote Rotie. #coterotie #syrah #kermitlynch #rhonegiants #wildwine — 9 years ago
