#4 of my tasting pack, 2013 Jean Marie Fourrier Echezeaux. Dark ruby in color. Raspberry, leather, wet stony mineralogy and sea breeze on the nose. On the palate its firm tannin hidden behind striking acidity, evident ripe pepper. Considerably more depth than those two volnays I tasted earlier. A remarkable echezeaux especially considering this is the negociant wine of Fourrier. #winetastingnotes #burgundy #fourrier #winetasting — 8 years ago
nuttiness, hint of cabbage, green peaches, mineral, nice shower of caramel #winetasting #whiteburgundy — 8 years ago
Suvla 'Sur' 2011, Gallipoli Peninsula, Turkey
Blend of Merlot, Cab Franc, Cab Sauv, Petit Verdot. Very one dimensional. Extraction, fruit and oak. Jammy, black cherry, stewed plum mixed with vanilla spice. A good wine for Napa Valley palate. #wine #winetasting #winewinewine #winetagram #winewinewine #turkishwine #sommelier #sommlife #sommeliers #badwine #boring — 7 years ago

Casey @ Travelling Corkscrew
Oh my, last night we had a feast!! You may have caught a glimpse on my stories 😉
Firstly a big thank you to @hither_yon for kindly sending us a sample of their 2019 McLaren Vale Touriga to taste. When I read the food match, I just had to give it a go:
“Portuguese style chicken, butterflied, barbecued, coated with peri peri sauce, served with crusty bread and side salad, lime wedges and chips”.
I found a Portuguese style chicken recipe on the @taste_team website and made a few tweaks for it to fit exactly what we were after.
And it was a success! The meal and the beautiful wine match.
If you haven’t had wine made from the Touriga Nacional grape variety before, it’s Portugal’s famous red variety that is primarily used in making Port wine. However it makes brilliant dry red wines too 🍷
This 💯% Touriga is drinking well now and you can cellar it up until 2025. Plus it’s also vegan friendly.
We found it a purpley-raspberry colour in the glass with notes of black fruits on the nose. It has a rather elegant, nearly floral perfume to it. In the mouth those black fruits flow through and it has lovely length to the finish. It complimented the chicken 🍗 and spice 🌶 so well 👌
If you’re keen to try this beauty or any of the @hither_yon range, make sure to use the code TCWINE for 20% 3
bottles or more 🙌
This wine was sent to me as a sample, all opinions are my own.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
