Amavi Cellars
Walla Walla Valley Syrah
In Washington State for a week, first for a work conference and then to Walla Walla to taste and drink. So the local Seattle Whole Foods has this. Dark fruity nose, very clingy and savory on the palate. Acid is a bit low for my taste. Loads of soft tannin and long finish. This is a wine in search of a grilled Porterhouse.

Sep 8th, 2019I love this winery and it's wine. Lots of tannin left, thick, fruit forward.

Nov 14th, 2018Back home after a week on the road. Nice wine, simple (and softly textured for syrah) straightforward WW syrah. Solid QPR sub 20.

Oct 12th, 20182014. Paul bought. Dinner with P,P & S after a rough week of the Kavanaugh hearings. Much needed opportunity for convos, and wine and .... good food. Started the evening/ appetizers with this. Savory and intriguing nose. A bit surprising for a Syrah. We drank the Amani cab with dinner. More well rounded.

Sep 29th, 2018A nice Syrah for what we paid ($15), but it's not worth $30 a bottle (which is what Lukas Is charging).
