This is a model of restraint. The nose is delicate, offering plums, blackberries, spices, and the lightest hint of tobacco.
The palette is subtle and plush. Tannins are still somewhat ripe. Texture is silky. Finishes lifted with warm spice and sweet oak. This is a classic. If fruit-bombs aren't your style, take a look at this example. Absolutely stunning.

Full-bodied, rich wine. Decanted for about three hours before it started to open up. More of a European style. Blackberries, plums, and spice in abundance with a hint of mocha, cedar, and tobacco. Drink now or hold for a couple of more years.

Light smoke, blackberry, and mint on the nose. The palate is deftly balanced. Fruit, acidity, and tannins all in harmony. Leans more towards the old world and I like that. Crushed blackberry, plum, eucalyptus, and rich earth. I loved the elegance of this wine. Thank you, @Martin G Rivard for sharing this beauty. Cheers to you and Christine!
