Wait for it... the second day this showed well, and finally started to open with some forest and Burgundian notes. The first day was tight and sharp. ... I don’t agree with some of the sky high magazine reviews, perhaps projecting potential like an over valued dot com.

Juicy red cherry, cola nuts. Black tea leaves, mint, sage. Med acid, med+ sweet tannins, med body/length/intensity. Abel and Dijon clones. 30% whole cluster, native ferment. 35% new oak 11 months. 13% abv.

Medium ruby wide pink rim . Touch of spice on the nose then , sweet strawberry , raspberry , dark cherry , violet and star anise . On the quiet round and juicy sweet reds fruits , mirroring the nose , with adicional cranberry and red currant , good balanced acidity with suave rounded , ripe tannins . Ok length , and well balanced alcohol. This is still very primary , ripe and rich , not a whole lot of complexity however . Can age probably age a while longer. Now and over the next 5-10 years .

Really good wine but not my thing. Red fruit is very dark, there’s smoke and organic earth. UPDATE- after 20 minutes it opened up and showed much lighter fruit, freshness, floral openness
