A clear ruby red, almost translucent in the glass. Even at this youthful age everything about this is a cut above. That class leather is all over the nose and joined by earthy goodness. Mushrooms and herbs compliment things well. Dark mountain berries and cherries provide plenty of fresh fruit to the party.
I keep drinking these bottles young because they keep not disappointing. Wonderful tension and immediacy. Medium bodied with bright acid. Very precise and well crafted with polished tannins. In a few more years it will be even more polished and clean.
The palate bursts alive with cherries and wild strawberries. The suggestion of spice, more mushrooms, and black olives. Orange peel and fresh brewed coffee lead into the medium long finish of clove cigarettes and herbs. Really fun stuff.

With Andrew 8/20, very good spice at first then fruit. Lighter red. Would be good with Pasta or pork.

Enjoyed with Aimo and Danielle during a warm Friday night, with pasta and appetizers. I think this is similar to a bold Pinot noir, and I loved it.
