Azienda Agricola Rivetto
Lirano Langhe Nebbiolo
While not as pronounced as its Barolo sibling, the tar and roses are still evident on the nose here. This looks, smells and tastes like a nebbiolo, just not as intense as it can be. The red fruit is a little more candied (slightly) and the palate is a little more thin, but all the usual hallmarks are there. Paired with a soup course that included pancetta, cannellini beans and chicken broth, beautiful pairing.
