Quite smokey , not a lot of fruit , slightly balsamic with dried herbal touches , redcurrant , a bit awkward at the moment . Quite strict on the palate , touch of black tea , red slightly dusty fruit . Quite raspy tannins , ok quite fresh acidity , touch of liquorice on the finish. Not the most involving wine , quite aloof. Just worry that this misses a bit of stuffing , a bit more fruit . Ok length. I get the impression this needs a bit more time , maybe another 3-5 years and will last another 5 , however not sure this will ever overcome its deficiencies.
