Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Cerasuolo
Rome: Rosciololi. I am glad to say this bottle was great, but (most happily) no more so than the ones at home. The bombollotti alla amatriciana, however was much better.

Nov 4th, 2013What?! Is this coffee? Crazy nose. To be frank, I thought it was a reductive tone - first whiff looked sort of rubbery, but was instantly veered towards coffee by the group. Strawberry, cherries, some floral and earthy notes ensue. Palate was brilliant! Concentrated, mind-boggling yellow stone fruits and apples, chewy, orange oil, mushroom, very mineral, refreshing acidity. Only caught a glass, but definitely better than my last experience with this wine - a 03' in Munich. Didn't feel like it was 14%, but I guess that'll really kick in if there was more to go around. Time to track down a bottle!

Dec 7th, 20132008. I've never had anything like this. Cannot place the aroma. Transparent enough to be a rosé. An expanding brightness that hits you on the front and expands greatly through the finish. Love it!
