Red and black roses shine across a black cherry lake with a cinnamon-cedar island over which hovers a basil and raspberry mist. Medium mouthfeel, shimmering with tart cherry, frozen dark chocolate, cracked coffee bean, cherry dust, dried bing cherry and rose petal with ash, red tea, dried cranberries and the absolute scintilla of micro-tar. 2008 was not opulent; bit past its best taste but still enjoyable. Had it with lamb meatballs fire-roasted tomato sauce, pasta with fresh basil and premium olive oil.
