Bella Vineyards
Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel
Bold, jam-less, and elegant.. not classic to modern Zin, however more like older styles of dry creek. Called 100% Red Mt. Cab, but there was probably more red fruit than black there.

May 2nd, 2018Deep ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry, blackberry and sweet tobacco. On the palate, currant, oak and a very long finish of blackberry. Medium to strong tannins and a medium bodied wine lacking a lush mouthfeel. Another excellent zin from Bella.

1 person found it helpfulJul 3rd, 2016I was so disappointed to not be able to go to Bella when I was in Dry Creek last month for a bachelorette party but was thrilled to see this Zin in the store! This is a beautiful and well-balanced wine! Aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, tobacco, and a bit of mushrooms. The oak is delightful and the tannins are perfectly integrated. I paired this with a brined tomahawk pork chop, roasted fingering potatoes with truffle said, and mushrooms-- couldn't ask for a better pairing! This is a big wine that deserves a nice piece of meat. Love it and will buy again! My new favorite Dry Creek Zin!

Jul 25th, 2017An elegant Zinfandel. No over extraction. Soft, briary fruits with a hint of cinnamon, and cigar. Med acidity, full body, med plus tannins. Finishes with deep raspberry, light spice, and pencil shavings. Good length in the finish.
