Etna Bianco Carricante

Petrichor, ripe apple. White peach (underripe). Austere and self assured; delicately sharp. Developed finish with some more acid, a little bitter almond, and a restatement of ripe fruit.

Citrus and white floral notes. Uneventful and borderline flat. It's a great choice to create a reference point for Etna Bianco wines but it's more on the commercial side. The wine doesn't express terroir very well. I think that the Etna Bianco wines are best expressed with the traditional blend with Catarratto and Carricante and grown by a small producer. Makes a good starter wine for Etna Bianco. I wish the big money in Etna would go away.

The simplicity is the winning part

In the metallic side. Volcanic. Very good. Tastes organic though like it’s not done

Austere volcanic white. Steely and clean. Enjoyed very much but not for everyone.

Crisp. Easy drinking. Perfect with seafood.
