Bernard Faurie
Hermitage Syrah
Still fresh and a bit green for this 2006 - smoke and meat and olives. Balanced. Epic. A rare treat. White label w Gold Capsule = Bressandes/Meal bottling.

Everything in its place for this mid week pairing w grilled peppers and Persian inspired lamb burgers.
Plenty of dark fruits on the nose. Not a lot of funk. Hint of CO2 on palate entry that dissipates w time in decanter. Suave, silky texture and with balanced acids that seem fairly mild.

Very good structure and concentration...smokey with notes of dried black cherries and blackberries, dried olives and leather

Sep 3rd, 2017Iron clad. No really, tastes like what I imagine Iron to taste like. I see commonality w his St Joseph. Rock hard, I'd love to follow the open bottle over the course of a week and a case over a couple decades
