Smokey, with spice box and hints of celery!
Great, structure with mildly gritty tannins. Beautiful poise on the palette. Tight minerality, with a fruit-forward, racy finish. Worth every cent!

Wifey and I aligned at 94 pts.
Broad shouldered and a touch brambly on the nose. Layers of fruit, a hint of cloves and good complexity. Finishes with uncommon density. Typical Bevan pinot.

This was the first wine of the night. As usual for Bevan's pinot, it was extracted, and textured - crunchy almost.
On the palette, this displays energy, verve and vitality. It's sweet and spicy, which presents with density. It's a masculine, contemporary pinot, which has quickly become a reference point in the U.S.

Muscular style of Pinot, needs some time to come together

Not my style. A little too big, overly jammy and extracted. A meal in a mouthful.

Drinking young. Inky garnet color. Loads of bing cherry, some vanilla and cedar box spices. Will be great. For my taste needs some down-time first.

Sassafras all day long. A beautiful red, dense and broad. Bright acidity, mouth puckering. Rich minerals, plum and root beer. Has this old vine presence. Ripe fine grained tannins, showing a smoked jam finish.

We are stretching out the weekend. Excellent Pinot in every way.

Friday's are the new beginning of the week for us.
Huge nose of jam compote.
Extracted and fleshy on the palette. Sweet and densely packed with flavor. Very enjoyable and edgy, but this is so different to what we have come to expect from this varietal.

Haven’t had a Bevan PN in quite awhile. Drinking wonderful tonight. Really enjoyed this one.
