Willamette Valley Pinot Noir
Have given this a couple of shots and just don’t see what the hype is about.

Mar 15th, 2020Really nice bottle tonight. Feminine and seductive. Alluring nose of Rose petals, cherry, peat. Med weight, well balanced fruit/acid , a hint of allspice. Just a fine bottle of Willamette Valley Pinot. A winery to seek out for sure.

Sep 8th, 2019This disappointed me for all the hype. Simply not as complex or nuanced as I expected. Have some more and look forward to giving other bottles a shot.

Aug 9th, 2019Tart cherries, rose water, juicy cranberry, and raspberry jump out of your glass. Sweet cola nuts, fresh tea leaves, violet, and lip smacking acidity —- it hits all the spots of an enjoyable Oregon Pinot for me..

Nov 15th, 2018A pretty color of ruby, with a wide reddish rim and medium intensity.
Fruity nose of blueberries, cherries, currants, oak, mashrooms, wet leaves, herbs, black pepper and spices.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with cherries, strawberries, currants, light alcohol, light barnyard, spices, wood, chocolates and light earth.
Long finish with soft tannins and cherries.
This is a very enjoyable Pinot Noir from Oregon. Easy drinking with mild complexity and a nice mouthfeel. Well balanced and tasty.
Very enjoyable by itself, as a sipping wine, or with food.
Wine Spectator 91 points.
This is one that will age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
A Delicious Pinot Noir, and that doesn't come easy for me 😉
I paired it with hard cheeses and Italian cured meats.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
$45.

Exactly a year after last bottle. This is still really good. More round and much more allspice than I remember. Still some bright red fruits but starting to fade into much more dried flowers, herbs, and baking spice. Very much worth trying to see if it’s your style.

Sep 24th, 2020Medium ruby with flecks of light purple and a wide brim. Fruit up top on the nose with cherries and tart raspberries, but the vanilla and moist earth soon take center stage. As generous of a Pinot as I’ve had in some time, this really is a perfect expression of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. Medium bodied with ripe acidity, there’s an elegance and femininity to go along with the more rustic aspects of this wine. Open and inviting, there’s a lot to love here. Very well balanced, there’s so much good Willamette fruit but it never threatens becoming a round fruit bomb. On the palate, black cherries, wild strawberries, and just a bit of oak. This is just their entry level bottle and it far exceeds so many other domestic Pinots out there. Really nice stuff.

Jul 4th, 2020Heavy cherries on the nose, rose with slight granite. Tart, acidic, mild tannins. Nice but not my favorite pinot
