BrisAndes (Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite))
Colchagua Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Extremely thin cab that is exploding with sweet, ripe strawberries and raspberries. A little too acidic for my tastes, but this would work well with a robust and earthy salad. Some notes of black currant and green bell pepper happens to work its way in as well.

Jan 8th, 2017Dare I say I detect some French "funk" in this? Light nose with earthiness and distinct barnyard. It's also giving me a bit if the dill I get from big California Cabs. Apples, sour cherry, and cinnamon round off the nose. Very soft tannins *almost* balance the oak, which is just a smidge overrepresented. Very nice coat of pear, red apple, and cinnamon stick. Quite nice.
