Spectacular showing. Amazingly tropical this time with an almost pineapple topnote. Fantastically rich and dense, but acidity to balance. Perfect mousse. Definitely seems on the upslope. Up there with the Selosse.

Jul 18th, 2021Disg 09/2014. Btl 790/6200. Pop and pour, but notes from 2.5 hrs open. On the nose: melon, marzipan, soft toast, soft strawberry and basil. On the palate: fantastic density and acidity, grapefruit, vanilla, melon, soft honey...this has everything. This bottle was slightly closed at first, and definitely needed some air. One of my favorite champagnes.

Feb 14th, 202109/2014 Disgorgement. Just an unbelievably good btl of champagne. Less rich, and seemingly less oak presence than the 02 Piper Rare, but fantastic aromatic complexity and textural elegance.
