Sharpish and a bit thin day one, all acid with not a lot of fruit. With air and on day two opening up to show some fennel seed, green herbs and a slightly rounder, sour/pie cherry note.

Mar 24th, 2020This is the private label used by Garagiste for stuff from Italy. But the cork gives away the secret. 2015 is a low acid year but this one keeps its balance. Ripe macerated cherry fruit augmented by warm gravelly earth. Classic. Medium bodied and very pure tasting. Nice intensity but so balanced. Fruit, acid, tannin.

Sep 15th, 2019Ripe fruit, smokey aromas, and charred thyme/oregano. A delicious wine, but lacks the balsamic backbone and tomato paste nuances I find in Chianti.
