High heat gives an immediate prickle on the lips 14.4%. Overall smooth texture with dense tropical fruit on the medium finish

Almost feels old world, but alcohol level shows it's true home. Lots of acid, touch of hazelnut.

Opened this bottle 2 days ago and I thought it was tight and citrussy, and the timber was slightly clumsy and not yet integrated.
Today, after 2 days in the fridge, the wine has put on weight and interest showing nuances of breadcrust, butter and vanilla. But the oak-treatment still isn't very appealing. Maybe, hopefully, it just needs more time to integrate.

Although I liked this wine quite a bit, I had higher expectations. A little more depth and complexity would have been nice.
