Calera Wine Company
Central Coast Chardonnay

As Fall continues to evolve , & the leaves on the Sycamore turn red, I tend to favor Chardonnay for backyard sipping. This holds up well to bbq ribs & sautéed string beans.

Great chard, pungent nose, good body but no oak. Only ding is slight metallic edge on the finish. J approves. Don’t overchill

Really nice blend of eight vineyard sites harvested by hand. Ripe tropical fruit on the nose and obvious oak but not unpleasant. Big and lush on the plate with alcohol tinge upon finish. An easy pick for a Chardonnay from this area.

Jun 10th, 2020Expecting honey & butter. Tasted salt & oak. Better on the rocks night two. Have a couple of bottles left, maybe it’s a social wine not a food wine?

Dinner at Duke's huntington beach. Fruity pineapple on the nose, balanced on the mouth with a super long finish.

Can’t rate, cooked. Should not have been golden and honeyed at this age. Suspect it was stored improperly at the shop.
