Made from 100% Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) sourced from the Sassella sub-zone, this wine is far from light despite its light color. It’s beautifully elegant, with incredible acidity designed for aging. We enjoyed a 2016 that was singing after a short decant. Really loved this one.

Medium light ruby garnet core, quite wide garnet rim . Slightly high toned at first , medicinal , red damson , wild strawberry fruit , smoky , herbal touches . After a while , more dry spice. On the palate this has quite delicate red fruit focus , with some strawberry herbal notes , with slightly menthol , medicinal hints . Quite high acidity and rounded but present , fine tannins . Needs time to open properly, but very elegant . Probably better in 3-5 years and will last well a further 5 - 8.

Utterly ethereal. The 2016 riserva is this year’s release and it’s borderline transcendent, the silkiest tannins, light herbal freshness, fantastic depth and structure. This little spot just in front of the Pitti Palace here in Florence is amazing too.

Aromatic and enticing with sweet ripe strawberry , raspberry , dried spices and fresh herbs, rose , grafite , orange rind; this really does change in the glass . On the palate lovely freshness , pure red fruits , strawberry , raspberry , touch of liquorice , dried spices . Long and detailed , herbal tinged finish , polished quite light tannins . Great now but will probably will age well over the next 5-10
