Needs more time. Decanted for 60 minutes and was still pretty closed overall. Ok now but in a few years will be much better.

From a friend's cellar. They decanted about 2 hrs before we drank it. Lovely drink-now brunello: tar and soft rose with soft charcoal on the nose. On the palate: fantastic acidity, blackberry, soft charcoal, a hint of cola, soft tomato, and a very softly tannic finish. Very good.

This is great if I think of it as either rosso or chianti (and paired extremely well with a harissa chickpea stew, which suggests limited oak influence). Definitely sangiovese transparent, and quaffable...
