Hands down the best Chilean wine I've ever had. Fantastic. Could have been aged another 10 years. Surprisingly fresh red cherries on the nose, plenty of stinging acidity in the back corners of my mouth on the first sip. Tannins have started to recede a bit, and there's a hint of sediment starting to form. Great body, velvety.

Stood up to its wine of the year designation and more, Balanced and soft, with great dark berry and chocolate flavors.

This is my second time tasting this #vintage of #closapalta from #lapostolle No question that this is a huge wine but it is pretty well balanced for an 11 year old #chilean wine with 15% abv. Firm tannins, medium acid, and strong black, blue, and red fruit. After 3 hours exposed to the air the finish on the wine became bitter. I don't have super high hopes for this wine being fully mature but I am definitely intrigued about what could develop. #chile #colchagua #carmenere

05' It's a must to decant for an hour or more. A massive well balanced beauty. Drinks like a very good Bordeaux. The bold tannins don't hold back Violet, ripe black fruits, roasted chestnuts. A hint of menthol .This will easily age another 10+ years.

Really rich red and black fruit on nose and palate. 3 phases. Hour 1- Closed, hour 2, 3- big and enjoyable, hour 4- fading. Still alive but tannins start to take over when exposed to too much air. #chile #cabernetsauvignon #closapalta

Drink now, wow! Nr 1 a few years ago in WS. How can you rank anyway? But still, one bottle left, come and drink it with me within two years:)
