A true classic. Loam, amaro and red fruit. Solid acid and young chalky tannins on the finish. Almost the best wine you could have with pasta bolognese. Probably would have been better with a splash decant.

Very enjoyable and easy on the palate. Light cherries and a touch of cranberry on the nose. A nice, soft and lush mouth feel, with a tart finish that lingered longer than expected.

Garnet with thin auburn rim. Aromatic black cherry, thyme, iron, perhaps a little animal funk. Bitter up front, medium minus acid, medium plus heat (13.5%) and skin tannin. Sort of falls flat in the mouth. Short finish.

Nice easy drinking Classico with typical iron notes and blue fruit. Soft tannins with medium acidity.

Surprisingly, I was told the 2014 riserva was not produced so all the juice went into the straight Chianti. After some double checking apparantly it was produced after all. 🤔 Loved it big time anyway...
