Bold ripe dark fruit, hint of vanilla, balanced tannin in the back of tongue, not too heavy but bold enough for a good steak dinner.

Well this was a gift from a year or two ago apparently bought right at the vineyard. It’s an impressive looking bottle. The aroma is nice but soft. First drink while a bit cool it had that bitter vinegar edge to it but you can tell it’s a better wine then average. It’s a bit dry but not super dry. At first I was not liking this wine but the warmer it gets the far better it is. Once it warms up it smooths out a lot and loses some of the acidity. It does last on the palate. I’d give it a B- just because dries aren’t my jam but this is pretty decent.
