Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Delicious. Starting to really come ‘round, the nose is dark cherry, loads of sandstone-rich gravel, dark spices. Concentrated flavors in the mouth. Quite a bit of tannin, but it’s quite soft, and the acids are pretty good for the year. So good now, this will be amazing in 5 years.

Pretty floral aromatics, medium structure with a nice mineral vein. 2/3 through the high alcohol comes into play, unfortunately simplifying the wine. 14.5-15% alc/vol

Needed more time to open up. We were through the bottle as it was starting to open. Tart bright red fruit. Good tannic structure. Still very fresh and vibrant

Happy that I used the coravin in this bottle. No way near to what Brunello can be imho.
Fresh and modern sweet nose but on the hard side drinking wise. Will adjust score when drinking it again in 2/3 months. My suggestion is keep other bottles. 19.9.21

Sweet flowers on the nose. Wonderful cherry and mineral notes. Tobacco aftertaste. A beauty. Very generous.

A nice wine but didn’t convince me 100%, missed some character and deeper layers...

Violets, cherry, dried rose petals, and leather. Shows very good promise.

Nice rich Brunello. Well balanced but definitely a lot of dark cherry fruit. Excellent aromatically after some air.
