Had this 6 mos ago at Tasting, liked it, bought several bottles for cellar. Blend of Cab Sauv, Cab Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot & Malbec, made by 30 year Chappellet winemaker Phillip Titus. Deep Ruby, purple edges, youthful aromas of black fruit, spices and flinty notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and black cherry with some vanilla and tobacco and herbal floral notes. Vivid acidity & firm tight tannins with long finish ending with a youthful character, aging well should benefit from bottle aging.

Apr 22nd, 2020I’ve run out of the wine that I brought with me so I headed to Total Wine (an essential business during the city shutdown) to replenish the stash. This was one of the buys. I visited Chappelet during Premier Napa Valley for the Pritchard Hill tasting. Really liked the high end lineup so I thought I would give this a try. Had with Fresco Cafe Italiano take away.

Excellent, structured, very tasty blend. Would absolutely buy again for $28 at smyrna beverage warehouse.
