It shows complex and very appealing aromas that leads with a slightly oxidized top note that evolves into aromatic pastry dough, baked orchard fruit, pear, a bit of spice, citrus and a smoky mineral aromas. On the palate it's shows a delicate creamy mousse, and is very energetic and powerful with peach, pear, apple, citrus flavors a a chalky minerality. Long satisfying finish. Fantastic value in a a vintage Champagne from the terrific 2002 vintage at $50!

Christmas bottle at condo. Distinctive yellow color. A little thick on the tongue for my tastes. But I recognize the profile similar to other highly rated bottles. Reminded my of Egly Ouriet brut which I also didn't love.
